- 8 oz wide egg noodles
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup full-fat sour cream
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook the wide egg noodles in salted boiling water until al dente, about 8–10 minutes. Drain.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the diced onion until fully cooked, approximately 5–7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper into the beef mixture. Combine with drained noodles and sour cream.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the noodle mixture and sprinkle half of the cheese on top. Add the remaining noodle mixture and top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown and bubbling. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
