Description

  • 1 package (12) egg roll wrappers
  • 1 cup bacon jam (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 green onions (finely chopped)
  • 2 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in bacon jam, soy sauce, and garlic powder; mix until well combined.
  3. Remove from heat and fold in shredded cheese and green onions.
  4. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface, place two tablespoons of filling in the center, fold up the bottom corner, then tuck in the sides and roll tightly to seal.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry egg rolls in batches for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown on all sides.
  7. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.
