  • 1 lb Ribeye or Sirloin Steak
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 4 cloves Fresh Garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice

Instructions

  1. Remove the steak from the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  2. Pat the steak dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until smoking; add oil.
  4. Sear the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side until it reaches medium-rare (130°F).
  5. In a separate saucepan, melt butter over low heat; stir in garlic, parsley, oregano, and lemon juice.
  6. Baste the steak with cowboy butter during the last few minutes of cooking.
  7. Remove from heat; let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
