  • ½ head fresh cabbage (chopped)

  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 4 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Chop half a head of cabbage into bite-sized pieces. Dice one onion and mince three cloves of garlic.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the onion and garlic for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  3. Combine all ingredients in a crockpot: sautéed onions and garlic, ground beef, chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes, long-grain rice, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and beef broth.
  4. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours. Stir occasionally to savor the aroma.
  5. Once cooked, ensure the rice is tender; adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.
