Description

Watermelon Lemonade is the ultimate summer refresher, offering a delightful blend of sweet watermelon and tangy lemon. Perfect for hot days, this vibrant drink bursts with flavor and can easily elevate any gathering. Serve it chilled, garnished with fresh mint for an Instagram-worthy presentation that will transport you to sun-soaked beaches.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups ripe watermelon chunks (about half a medium watermelon)
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 46 lemons)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 2 cups cold filtered water (plus more if needed)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Watermelon: Slice the watermelon, remove seeds, and scoop out 4 cups of flesh.
  2. Juice the Lemons: Halve lemons and extract juice until you have 1 cup.
  3. Blend: Combine watermelon chunks, lemon juice, and half of the cold water in a blender; blend until smooth. Strain into a pitcher to remove pulp.
  4. Sweeten & Chill: Stir in sugar while the mixture is warm. Add more cold water to achieve desired consistency and chill for at least an hour.
  5. Serve: Pour over ice in tall glasses, garnish with mint leaves, and enjoy!
