  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup Nutella (divided)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually add sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
  5. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
  6. Fold in half a cup of Nutella to create marbled patterns in the batter.
  7. Divide the batter between pans and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
  9. Frost with remaining Nutella and powdered sugar mixture.
