Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 lb fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 4 ripe tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Layer half of the potato slices in the baking dish and season with salt, pepper, and half of the minced garlic.
  3. Add a layer of tomato slices and half of the mozzarella on top of the potatoes. Repeat layering with remaining ingredients.
  4. In a bowl, mix heavy cream with remaining garlic, salt, and pepper; pour evenly over layered gratin.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes; uncover for the last 15 minutes until golden brown.
