Ingredients

  • 14 oz firm tofu
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 scallions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu wrapped in paper towels for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture.
  2. Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey (or maple syrup), minced garlic, and sesame oil until well combined.
  4. Toss the cubed tofu in the sauce mixture and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and spread marinated tofu on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown, flipping halfway through.
  7. Remove from oven and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and chopped scallions before serving.
