- 2 tbsp cornstarch (plus 2 tbsp water for slurry)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Coat chicken pieces in cornstarch until evenly covered.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the coated chicken in a single layer and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté minced garlic and grated ginger until fragrant (30 seconds).
- Stir in soy sauce, orange juice, and brown sugar; mix well.
- Combine cornstarch with water to create a slurry and add it to the sauce while stirring continuously until thickened (about 1 minute).
- Toss the crispy chicken back into the pan to coat with the sauce.
