  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for glazing)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Cooking oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for about 5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Stir in melted butter, eggs, salt, and half of the flour until combined.
  3. Gradually add remaining flour while kneading on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out dough to 1/2-inch thickness and cut into donut shapes.
  6. Heat oil in a deep pot to around 350°F. Fry donuts for about 1 minute per side until golden brown.
  7. For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar with vanilla extract and enough milk for desired consistency. Dip warm donuts into glaze.
