- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
- 1 cup dill pickles, sliced
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 sesame seed hamburger buns, toasted and cut into pieces
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tbsp mustard
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish with nonstick spray.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with chopped onion until cooked through; drain excess fat.
- Stir in garlic powder, salt, pepper, ketchup, and mustard until combined.
- Layer half of the toasted buns in the baking dish, followed by half of the beef mixture and half of the pickles. Top with half of the cheddar cheese.
- Repeat layers with remaining buns, beef mixture, pickles, and cheese.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove foil during the last 10 minutes for a golden crust.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
