Description

Cinnamon Knots with Coffee Icing are the ultimate indulgence for brunch or a sweet snack. These fluffy, golden knots are infused with warm cinnamon and drizzled with rich coffee icing, making them irresistible.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup whole milk (lukewarm)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp brewed coffee

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk in a saucepan until lukewarm. Combine yeast and sugar in a bowl, then pour warm milk over it. Let sit until bubbly.
  2. Whisk flour and salt in another bowl. Mix in the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs until combined.
  3. Knead dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
  4. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle and spread with melted butter; sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mix and cut into strips. Twist into knots.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake knots for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Mix powdered sugar with brewed coffee for icing. Drizzle over warm knots.
