  • 8 slices thinly sliced deli ham
  • 8 oz Swiss cheese, sliced
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place each chicken breast between plastic wrap and pound to about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Lay ham and cheese on each flattened breast, leaving edges clear.
  4. Roll each breast tightly, tucking in the sides; secure with toothpicks if necessary.
  5. Dredge in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat; cook chicken rolls seam-side down until golden brown (about 4-5 minutes per side).
  7. Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
