Description

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ cups Gruyère cheese, shredded
  • 2 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, pepper, thyme, and parsley.
  3. Grease a baking dish and layer half of the sliced potatoes evenly. Pour half of the cream mixture over them and sprinkle with half of the Gruyère cheese.
  4. Repeat the layering process with remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheese.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
