Instructions

- In another bowl, whisk eggs and vanilla; add to dry ingredients and combine gently.
- Divide batter into pans and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While cooling, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form. Combine ricotta with powdered sugar and lemon zest; fold in whipped cream and chocolate chips.
- Once cakes are cool, layer one on a plate and add half the ricotta filling. Top with the second layer and remaining filling. Chill for at least an hour before serving.
