- 12 oz fresh or frozen cheese tortellini
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions until soft (about 5 minutes). Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Crumble in the ground beef and cook until browned (7-10 minutes). Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning; simmer for 5 minutes.
- Gently combine cooked tortellini with the beef mixture.
- Layer half of the mixture in a greased baking dish, sprinkle with half of the mozzarella, then repeat.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes; uncover and bake an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
