- 12 oz fresh or frozen tortellini
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a large baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and sauté diced onions until translucent. Add minced garlic; cook until fragrant.
- Add ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks until no longer pink; drain excess fat.
- Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning; simmer for 5 minutes.
- Gently fold cooked tortellini into the beef mixture until well combined.
- Layer half the mixture in the greased baking dish, sprinkle half the cheese blend on top, add remaining mixture, then finish with remaining cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
