  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup pasta sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  3. Form mixture into 1-inch meatballs and sear in a skillet over medium heat until browned on all sides (3-4 minutes).
  4. Transfer meatballs to the prepared baking dish and drizzle with BBQ sauce.
  5. Place biscuit dough pieces on top of the meatballs and pour any remaining BBQ sauce over them. Sprinkle with shredded cheese.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
