  • 1 cup warm milk (around 110°F/43°C)
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1. Activate the yeast: In a bowl, mix warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle yeast on top and let sit until frothy (5-10 minutes).
  2. 2. Mix dry ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Add melted butter and yeast mixture; mix until combined.
  3. 3. Knead the dough: On a floured surface, knead dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  4. 4. First rise: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise for about 1 hour until doubled.
  5. 5. Shape rolls: Punch down the dough, divide into equal pieces, shape into balls, and place in a greased baking dish.
  6. 6. Final rise & bake: Cover rolls and let rise for another 30 minutes while preheating oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
