- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 lbs Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes
- ½ cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Peel and cut the potatoes into chunks. Boil in salted water until fork-tender (15-20 minutes). Drain and mash with heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
- Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tbsp of butter and cook the steak in batches until browned (3-4 minutes).
- Reduce heat to medium-low; add remaining butter and garlic to the pan. Sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
